How do I start a WeChat account?
Install the official WeChat app from your device's app store and check the publisher. Choose mobile sign-up, select the correct country or region code, enter a phone number you control and set a password. Complete the verification requested on screen. Use the number you expect to retain during the trip so later account checks do not depend on an inaccessible SIM.
Why is WeChat asking another user to verify me?
Some registrations require assisted verification. Follow the conditions displayed for your account and ask an eligible WeChat user to use the official assistance process. Requirements can vary by country, account and sign-up circumstances; another traveller's experience is not a guaranteed method for yours. If you cannot complete the check, use official support rather than buying a pre-registered account.
What if I cannot receive the verification message?
First check the country code, phone number and whether that SIM can receive texts on its present network. If you are abroad, check roaming and SMS access with the carrier. Keep the app's error message and follow its recovery or support route if the code still does not arrive. Repeated attempts are not evidence that the account has been approved.
Does registering WeChat also activate WeChat Pay?
No. Treat account access and payments as separate tasks. Once you can sign in, follow the payment service's current identification and bank-card prompts, then check the selected payment method. Reach an attraction's booking service through its verified official website or account, and keep the confirmation somewhere you can retrieve it without reopening the chat. Save hotel names and essential addresses separately so one account problem does not remove all your travel information.
