About Guia Fortress
Inside the chapel, frescoes combine Western and Chinese religious and mythological motifs. The white lighthouse is a separate landmark within the fort, best viewed from outside: its interior is not open to the public. The hilltop setting also offers views across the surrounding city. Build the visit around the open grounds and chapel, observing the chapel’s prohibition on photography.
What to look for
- The chapel frescoes combine Chinese and Western motifs.
- The lighthouse stands within the defensive enclosure as a prominent exterior landmark.
