About Shengxing railway station
The station building, trackside setting and settlement around it make a coherent heritage stop. Its scale is modest, so the details of the timber structure and its position among the hills matter more than a long checklist of attractions.
Walk the publicly accessible station area and the village streets, looking at how the railway fitted into the valley. The historic station should not be confused with Sanyi’s current mainline arrival station. Railway activities and access to tracks or tunnels depend on the operator’s current arrangements.
What to look for
- The wooden station building preserves the character of the old mountain line.
- The trackside layout shows how the railway occupied a small hillside terrace.

Location & getting there
Getting to Shengxing railway station
Take the mainline railway to Sanyi, then arrange the local transfer to Shengxing. The heritage station is at 88 Shengxing, Shengxing Village, Sanyi Township; it is not the same stop as Sanyi station.
