About Chaohu Lake Shoreline

The public waterfront of Hefei Chaohu Hubin National Wetland Park provides places to look across the lake from the grass beside the shore. Water and the distant line of buildings give this part of Baohe a different scale from the streets farther inland. The surrounding district also contains separate destinations such as Hefei Binhu National Forest Park and the Yangtze Crossing Campaign Memorial. Together they give the lakeside area woodland and cultural dimensions, while the wetland park remains a distinct waterside setting.

What to look for

  • The city skyline seen across the water from the wetland park's public lakeside lawns.
  • The contrast between open lake water and the planted waterfront landscape.
  • Nearby Hefei Binhu National Forest Park as a separate woodland stop.
