About Sanshui Lotus World
The park is laid out as a themed garden rather than a nature reserve. Its operator, Foshan Sanshui Lotus World Co., Ltd., lists the grounds as a set of named zones: a lotus research and development centre with a seedling operation and a popular-science corridor, a cultivar viewing area, the Hexiang cultural-and-creative street, a lotus theatre, a sculpture called Hongtoujin or 'red headscarf', a children's playground, a water park and an amusement zone called Magic Space. The company presents the place as a specialist lotus ecological garden and claims more than 500 lotus cultivars, while a park news item from 2026 put the figure at more than 300 and named a cultivar called Xingkong Mudan among them; the counts are the operator's own.
Sanshui Lotus World and Sanshui Forest Park have both been awarded national AAAA-grade scenic area status by the tourism authorities, according to the Sanshui District government's own district profile. That profile also places the garden within a district the government describes as an ecological pocket of the delta and a second water-source intake for Guangzhou and Foshan. Flowering is seasonal: the park's 2026 notice described a viewing season running from August into October, so what is in bloom on any particular visit depends on the year.
