About Ruisui Hot Springs
Ruisui Hot Springs (瑞穗温泉) are part of the geothermal landscape around Ruisui in the East Rift Valley. Their best-known characteristic is iron-rich water that can develop an amber or rusty yellow appearance as it oxidises. This is the basis of the local Golden Spring name, a description of the water's appearance rather than a medical benefit.
The surrounding spa area contains different spring facilities, and the regional tourism authority describes both golden iron-bearing waters and clearer bicarbonate waters. A town-level label does not mean every hotel draws water with the same composition. Choose a particular bath if experiencing the golden water is the reason for the visit.
The broader setting includes valley fields, tea-growing landscapes and the Xiuguluan River corridor. A bath can be paired with an unhurried look at this agricultural setting, while remaining separate from rafting or longer cycling trips. Historic fertility nicknames attached to the springs are local folklore and should not be treated as evidence about reproductive health.
