About Yashan Flower Sea Stone Forest
The flower landscape is closely tied to the rough terrain. Growers gather soil in gaps between the stones and retain it with small rock walls, making patches and terraces for the peonies. Spring flowers soften the jagged formations; outside the flowering season, the exposed stone shapes and the pattern of planting beds become more prominent.
The wider scenic landscape also includes wooded slopes and Zhulian Waterfall in a lower valley. A long sequence of mountain steps descends to the waterfall, giving this lower valley a different character from the upper stone formations.
