About Beijing Wildlife Park
Beijing Wildlife Park is a large animal park in Yufa, Daxing District, south of central Beijing. Its wooded grounds contain walking exhibits and a separate vehicle-based viewing area. The Daxing location is essential when choosing a route: Beijing Zoo and Badaling Wildlife World are different attractions in other parts of the municipality.
The park combines animal keeping and breeding with public science education. Its walking area allows visitors to approach individual exhibits at their own pace, while the vehicle route offers a different way to see larger enclosures. Read the park map before starting so that these two parts become a coherent visit rather than an accidental detour.
A useful approach is to choose a few animal groups and compare their habitats, behaviour and interpretation. Seeing an animal resting is part of observing living creatures; a particular pose or close encounter cannot be scheduled. Use only the visitor areas and feeding activities explicitly permitted by the park.
What to look for
- Compare the walking exhibits with the vehicle viewing route.
- Read habitat and conservation interpretation beside the animals.
