About Quanzhou Confucian Temple

A rebuilding in 1137 arranged the school and temple alongside one another. Later repairs, including major Qing and twentieth-century work, shaped the surviving complex. Dacheng Hall preserves a Song-style double-eaved roof form supported by stone columns, with six dragon-carved columns across its front.

A semicircular Panchi pond and stone bridge lead toward the temple courtyards. Minglun Hall lies to the east, making the site's educational role visible beside the hall devoted to Confucian ritual.
