About Jinsha Bay Beach
The tourism area covers 6,300 mu with 2.65 kilometres of shoreline. Running from south to north it is made up of the Poly water sports centre, the Jinshawan bathing beach, the Jinshawan sea-viewing promenade, the north and south leisure islets, and a lakeside wetland park; the Zhanjiang Olympic Sports Centre and a water sports centre also stand within the area. The bathing beach itself was completed and opened in October 2012, with 800 metres of shoreline and an area of 100,000 square metres; the district government describes it as gently shelving, with fine white sand and coconut palms along the shore.
