About Tianshengqiao Waterfalls
The valley lies on the eastern side of Baicaotuo and contains a succession of nine cascades. Yaotai is its best-known fall, dropping more than one hundred metres. Above it, the roughly 27-metre natural bridge gives the site its name and creates the unusual combination of an arch and a large waterfall.
Rock walls and woodland enclose the route through the valley. Water and temperature change the appearance of its principal sights: winter reporting by the county government documents the falls frozen into curtains and columns of ice. The bridge-and-waterfall group is the focus here, within the wider Tianshengqiao geological landscape.
