About Yesanpo Baili Gorge
These three valleys give Bailixia its characteristic sequence of enclosed passages and tall rock walls. The county government's description records places where the gap between the cliffs narrows to less than ten metres, making the scale of the walls particularly apparent from the valley floor.
Named rock scenes include Yixiantian, or One-Line Sky, and Huitou Guanyin. Bailixia is one part of Yesanpo: the Juma River, Baicaopan forest and other named areas belong to the broader destination. Their activities and landscapes should not be assumed to form part of a visit to these gorges.
