About Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade and Avenue of Stars
Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade follows the Kowloon side of Victoria Harbour, giving open views towards Hong Kong Island. The stretch around the Star Ferry Pier, Clock Tower and Cultural Centre connects the waterfront with major cultural attractions. Farther along, the Avenue of Stars adds a public tribute to the people of Hong Kong cinema.
The Avenue of Stars uses handprints, plaques and sculptures to introduce celebrated performers, including Bruce Lee and Anita Mui. Its harbour setting allows film history and the city skyline to share the same walk. Nearby museum and performance buildings have their own programmes, so the promenade can be either a short outdoor visit or the beginning of a longer cultural day.
Look at the cinema tributes individually rather than only using them as photo props. Then turn back towards the water to compare the skyline from successive points. Daylight reveals building forms, while evening changes their colour and visibility; neither guarantees a clear view during haze. Keep the main walking line clear at the busiest photo stops.
