About Darbin Lake Forest Park
Past eruptions left extensive broken surfaces of dark lava in the Bilahe forestry landscape. Rhododendrons grow among these rocks, and their spring flowers create a marked contrast with the black stone. The Lava Rhododendron Forest is one of the park's characteristic landscapes.
The park also includes Shenzhi Gorge and Sifangshan Tianchi. These named sites add cliffs and mountain water to the forest-and-lava setting, giving the wider park a range of landscapes beyond its spring flower displays.
