About Maoshan Scenic Area on the Jintan Side
Qianyuan Guan stands in the northeastern part of Jintan's Maoshan and belongs to the mountain's historic group of Daoist monasteries. Its modern restoration began in 1993; later work established archives and a history-and-culture exhibition, adding a record of the monastery's past to its religious setting.
Across the wider Jintan landscape, Maoshan Tea Sea connects tea production with leisure sightseeing. It is one of several distinct destinations promoted alongside Maoshan and Oriental Salt Lake City, giving this side of the mountain a combination of religious sites, cultivated scenery and developed visitor attractions.
