About Yunlong Lake and Yunlong Mountain
The lake lies in Quanshan District. Renamed Yunlong Lake in 1958, it developed from a water-control project into a landscaped urban park, with willow-lined banks, bridges and views towards surrounding hills. The shoreline gives a broad view of the water-and-mountain setting.
Yunlong Mountain crosses the district boundary: its southern part is in Quanshan and its northern part in Yunlong District. The linked hill sections add a climb and a concentration of cultural sites. The northern heritage area includes the large historic Buddha, cliff carvings and Fanghe Pavilion; the mountain's literary associations include Su Shi's time as prefect of Xuzhou.
