About Qianxin Resort Town
The estate grew out of farming rather than out of a theme-park plan. Its production base is organic tea, free-range chickens raised in the bamboo groves, Gannan navel oranges and tea oil pressed by traditional methods, alongside under-forest crops such as lingzhi, shihu and morels. The Longnan government calls it China's first eco-tourism town built on combining tea growing with tourism, and it carries a national AAAA tourist-area grading. The surrounding county is heavily wooded: forest cover across Longnan reaches 82.2 per cent, among the highest figures in Jiangxi.
Visitors move between the tea gardens, described as covering ten thousand mu, and the bamboo forest that surrounds them. The built part of the estate gathers a cluster of craft workshops, a winery estate with an adjoining valley, and a bird park, so the experience is closer to a working agricultural landscape with hospitality attached than to a single attraction.
