About Yashan Scenic Area

Dayu County groups the site's attractions under four headings: the Wolong gorge, 2.3 kilometres long and carrying eighteen waterfalls; the A-duo village, laid out to recall traditional country life; the A-duo Forest theme park; and the old Lingyan temple. The county lists the area as a national AAAA tourist attraction, a provincial key scenic and historic area, one of Jiangxi's ten new tourist areas and one of the province's first rural leisure and cultural tourism demonstration sites, and it is also designated a national public-fitness outdoor activity base and a national mountaineering base.

The vegetation changes sharply through the year: azaleas across the slopes in spring, cloud seas in summer, red maple and ginkgo in autumn, and ice on the branches in winter. Alongside the walking ground the county describes a spread of accommodation and activity built into the hillside, including hill cabins, the study rooms of the Daoyuan Academy, a lodge in the bamboo, an inn among the flower fields and guesthouses on the tea terraces, together with camping and mountain off-road routes.

• The seasonal vegetation, from hillsides of azalea in spring to red maple and ginkgo in autumn.

Getting to Yashan Scenic Area

Check weather, trail access and the last return service. A mountain or forest area is not one entrance, and a map’s central pin may be far from the trailhead.
