About Changbai Port Riverfront
The port's ceremonial gateway, begun in 2005, takes inspiration from the form of a bronze ding vessel. The Changhui international road bridge is another prominent border landmark. These structures give the riverfront a clear connection to the movement of people and goods between the two towns.
Changbai's wider riverside landscape uses timber boardwalks and designs drawing on Korean traditions and the region's Bohai heritage. Changbai Square, on the north side of the river embankment, is one of its public-space nodes. Public riverside paths and controlled port facilities have separate access arrangements.
