About Anhui Chu Culture Museum
Also known as Shouxian Museum, it stands at Binyang Avenue and Mingzhu Avenue within Shouchun City National Archaeological Site Park. Shouchun was Chu’s last capital, and the displays use bronzes, gold currency and jade to explore the society behind that history. The new venue follows earlier museum premises within the old town.
The entrance glass walkway covers a layer of Warring States building rubble that was excavated locally, moved and reconstructed here. Inside, chariot components and a recreated chariot-pit excavation explain archaeological discoveries. Upper-floor displays broaden the story to Shouxian’s history and longevity culture, including a reconstruction of North Street market life in the late Qing and early Republic.
