About Wu Jingzi Memorial Hall
Founded in 1959, the memorial was rebuilt in 1984 and enlarged through later projects, including the 2019 expansion and second-phase works completed in 2022. Its exhibitions connect Wu's personal history with the ideas and critical humour of The Scholars.
Beiji Pavilion, the Rulin courtyard and a lotus pond extend the visit into landscaped grounds. Across the river stands the separately reconstructed former residence, so the memorial's exhibition buildings should be understood as a later commemorative institution rather than Wu's surviving original home.
