About Jinnao Mountain

The mountain’s two sides have different characters. Cliffs dominate the eastern slopes, while the western slopes combine rocky peaks, wooded ridges and scattered rock formations. Streams and waterfalls add a smaller-scale landscape beneath the summit, including Dajimian Waterfall and the cascade at Qiancengya. This combination of high rock faces, forest and falling water gives the Jianning area more variety than a single summit viewpoint.

What to look for

  • Baishiding and the surrounding high ridges and cliff faces.
  • Wooded slopes and streams below the summit.
  • Dajimian and Qiancengya, two of the mountain’s named waterfalls.
