About Lijiang Bay
China Radio International's Guangxi channel reported in March 2023 from the Lijiangwan scenic area in Lipu, Guilin, describing the water of the Lijiang there, the peak forest rising at varying heights around it and the fields between hills and water. The same report named the scenic area's operator as Guilin Lipu Lijiangwan Scenic Area Co., Ltd. and recorded that it began an upgrade of the site in 2017; the company's general manager, Huang Deqiang, told CRI that by then close to 80 per cent of its staff were drawn from local residents, and that visitor numbers had clearly increased as the tourism market recovered.
A bylined 2023 item on People's Daily Online's Guangxi channel recorded Lijiangwan adding more than ten new elevated visitor attractions, including a cable car, a 'Phoenix' glass viewing platform, a bridge called Bubu Tongxin, a Tianmen Changsheng cave attraction, a Caiyun sky-ladder and a Moon bridge, and named it among Lipu's national AAAA-grade scenic areas alongside Fengyuyan, Yinziyan and the Lijiang National Wetland Park.
