About Zi River Scenic Area
Ziyuan County's own overview lists the Zijiang scenic area as one of 'red hills, green water' (丹山碧水) alongside Bajiaozhai among the county's tourism resources, and records that the county holds both Danxia and karst landforms. In 2018, the county recorded, it successfully established three national 4A-grade scenic areas — Bajiaozhai, Zijiang-Tianmenshan and Zijiang Denggu — as part of a wider push that saw the county named a Guangxi Characteristic Tourism County.
The county tourism bureau's own feature on the neighbouring Bajiaozhai scenic area separately describes the Meixi River as a first-order tributary of the Zijiang, about 60 kilometres long and locally known as the 'hundred-li gallery,' of which six kilometres of its middle course cross the Danxia landform area.
