About Jiabang Rice Terraces
Curving field edges form the main pattern, with timber stilt houses appearing between the cultivated slopes. Flooded fields reflect the sky, growing rice turns the terraces green, and mature crops change the colour again; agricultural timing varies from year to year. Visit several designated viewpoints by the local roads and keep off the narrow working field banks.
What to look for
- Curving rice terraces trace the slopes and change appearance with the crop cycle.
- Timber stilt houses around Dangniu, Jiaye and Jiache connect the fields with village life.
