About Weining Caohai
The public landscape around the reserve provides the appropriate way to appreciate it. Caohai North Slope Ecological Park adds wooded habitat and views towards the wetland. Boat tourism was stopped as part of ecological restoration, so old boat-trip descriptions should not be used as a visit plan. Bird sightings depend on season and conditions.
What to look for
- Open water and reed beds create the wetland habitat used by wintering waterbirds.
- North Slope Ecological Park combines woodland bird habitat with the Caohai setting.
