About Evergreen Park
Compared with Haikou’s more heavily wooded hill parks, its landscape feels spacious and open. An artificial lake adds a second setting within the grounds.
Use the eastern entrance to begin with the main lawn-and-palm landscape, then continue towards the lake. The park’s open areas are also used for public activities and events, so the atmosphere can change considerably between an ordinary day and a festival. The permanent landscape is the basis for a visit; any event programme is an additional choice to check locally.
What to look for
- Broad grassy areas and coconut palms give the park its open tropical character.
- The artificial lake provides a contrasting waterside section.

Getting to Evergreen Park
The main entrance is on Binhai Road at the east end of the park. Use that entrance for a straightforward first visit, rather than arriving at an unrelated venue on the surrounding roads.
