About Jinshan Temple
Its layered halls and the prominent Medicine Buddha pagoda give the complex a different character from the low coastal temples around Haikou. The present buildings include modern reconstruction, so their scale should not be mistaken for wholly surviving medieval fabric. A visit combines Buddhist architecture with a view over the town; tower entry and access to individual halls need separate confirmation.

Getting to Jinshan Temple
Use Jinshan Temple on Gongyuan Road in Jinjiang town, Chengmai. Do not confuse it with the many other Jinshan temples in China.
