About Muse Lake
Muse Lake is a forested lake landscape around Fengmu in Tunchang, in Hainan’s interior. Water, low wooded hills and the surrounding rural setting make it a quieter landscape stop than the island’s developed resort coast. It is useful to identify a specific accessible shore location, because the scenic-area name covers a broader setting than one entrance or walking circuit.
Hainan Daily field reporting describes Muse Lake together with nearby Leigongtan and the surrounding forest environment. A national sports-authority report records an organised paddling event on the lake in 2022. That past event shows one managed use of the water, but does not establish a current public rental service or permission for visitors to launch independently.
Plan the stop around an established shore viewpoint or a venue that confirms access. Compare the reflection on the water with the shape of the wooded banks, and leave space for changing weather to alter the scene. If combining the lake with another Fengmu stop, check the actual road and arrival point rather than assuming that all places described in the same scenic area are connected by an open footpath.
