About Tianxin Pavilion
The present pavilion was rebuilt in the 1980s after the earlier structure was lost, so the architectural visit combines reconstructed landmark and older wall fabric. Look at the height of the defensive platform and its relationship to the city below. The nearby Bamboo Slips Museum provides a useful contrast, revealing administrative life through excavated writing rather than monumental architecture.
What to look for
- The pavilion group and the surviving defensive platform.
- Views that connect the old city-wall position with present-day Changsha.
