About Strange Tree Forest

The trees' bare forms are the main subject here. Some trunks remain upright while others lean or lie on the desert ground, leaving an irregular pattern of branching limbs and exposed wood. The open surroundings make the shapes of individual trees especially visible.

Its visual interest lies in the relation between the wood, the ground and the sky. Groups of trunks form layered silhouettes, while closer views reveal the weathered surfaces of the dead trees.
