About Jinhu Water Forest
The landscape developed from Jiwei Forest Farm. Large-scale planting of water-tolerant trees began in 1984, followed by raised planting ground and improved water works in 1990 to address waterlogging. The combination of forest and water reflects that sustained engineering and planting effort.
Paths and boardwalks reveal the trees at close range, while the open channels and reed beds provide a wider view of the wetland setting. Features devoted to the young forest workers connect the scenery with the people who helped create it.
