About Tiaozini Birdwatching Area
Branching tidal channels and broad mudflats shape the landscape. As the tide covers feeding grounds, birds need somewhere to rest: a former fishpond area of 720 mu was adapted into a high-tide roost. Visitors observe this habitat from a designated platform, often using telescopes to pick out birds feeding or resting across the water.
The roost and the wider conservation landscape serve the birds first. Observation points provide views without making the habitat itself a walking route; guides identify areas where entry or aerial filming is prohibited. The birds present change with migration, tide and season.
