Changchun's Zoo and Botanical Garden combines animal enclosures with an unusually substantial collection of northern trees.

About Changchun Zoo and Botanical Garden

The herbivore area can be viewed from a wooden walkway, while separate elephant, giraffe and red-panda houses offer a choice of animal-focused stops. Planting includes Korean pine, birch and other trees associated with the Changbai region. The Jilin–Miyagi Friendship Garden supplies a contrasting Japanese-style landscape, making a mixed animal-and-garden visit possible without rushing through every enclosure.

Getting to Changchun Zoo and Botanical Garden

Use the south-side approach at 2121 Ziyou Avenue in Nanguan District. Northeast Normal University metro station is a nearby approach; follow the final street connection to the park gate.
