About Hua Yan Temple
Its halls follow a symmetrical north–south arrangement. The Mahavira Hall has yellow tiles, grey walls and a double-eaved roof, with three principal Buddha images and eighteen arhats inside. Guanyin and Dizang occupy separate side halls. The present buildings belong to the modern reconstruction of an earlier local temple, so their interest lies in the active religious setting and coordinated architectural ensemble.
What to look for
- The double-eaved Mahavira Hall and its three Buddha images with eighteen arhats.
- The paired Guanyin and Dizang halls arranged beside the main axis.
