About Laotudingzi Peak
The mountain lies across the Huashan and Weishahe forestry areas. Its relatively level summit grassland contrasts with the Erman's birch and mixed conifer-broadleaf forest on the slopes below, creating a clear change in scenery as the terrain rises.
Named rocks add detail to the open summit landscape. They include the three-point arrangement known as Dingtian Lidi Stone and the Dianjiangtai, or Reviewing Platform, rock. High-elevation birch and rhododendrons are also characteristic plants of the mountain.
What to look for
- The open summit grassland and scattered rock formations.
