Its main hall has three tiers of eaves capped by a small pyramidal roof. Carved lotus details and cloud-patterned brackets bring the architecture down to a scale that rewards close looking. The monastic courtyards and wooded mountain setting give the visit a quieter focus than the city streets. The cave sanctuary farther uphill is a separate extension that depends on local access conditions.

Getting to Wenfeng Temple
Travel via Wenhua village to Wenfeng Temple on Wenbi Mountain in Huangshan Subdistrict, Yulong County. Arrange the mountain-road return in advance, and follow any forest-fire controls on the approach.
