About Jiaobanshan Residence and Grounds
Jiaobanshan Residence in Taoyuan's Fuxing District combines a former presidential retreat with landscaped grounds and views over the Dahan River valley. It is part of a wider visitor area containing several buildings and viewpoints rather than a single house visit.
The residence and nearby military tunnel relate to the Chiang-era use of the site. A separate camphor-storage building and related interpretation recall an earlier local industry. Keeping these histories distinct helps explain why the grounds contain structures with such different functions.
From the Siqin Pavilion area, the river terraces around Xikou provide a broader landscape context. Garden paths, a pond and seasonal flowering areas add opportunities for a slower walk, although the appearance of the grounds and the exhibitions can change through maintenance and new displays.
