About Taitung Seashore Park
Taitung Seashore Park (台东海滨公园) follows the Pacific edge of Taitung City. The county describes an approximately kilometre-long waterfront landscape of open lawns and shore, with the sea providing a broad horizon close to the town centre. Its appeal lies in this accessible coastal setting rather than in a single enclosed attraction.
The park forms part of Taitung's city cycling network, linking a waterfront outing with the wider mountain-and-sea route. Walking or cycling along the edge changes the view between grass, beach and open water. The broad lawn also provides space for public events, although a normal visit should not depend on a particular programme being staged.
For a first look, treat the park as a city-to-sea transition: begin at a public access point, follow a manageable waterfront section and look back towards the town as well as out to the ocean. An event ground, a cycle route and the adjacent shore have different uses; an open lawn does not establish that entering the sea is permitted.
