About Bingzhongluo
South of town, the Nujiang First Bend turns around a projecting hillside; to the north, Shimen Pass and Wuli village show the valley narrowing again. This contrast between open basin and gorge is the main landscape story. Make a small number of road stops and confirm local access before adding village paths, especially during wet weather.
What to look for
- The Nujiang First Bend makes a broad curve below the mountain slopes south of town.
- Shimen Pass and Wuli village reveal the narrower gorge landscape to the north.
