About Western Grand Canyon Hot Spring
The resort's open-air bathing area covers about 200 mu and can hold up to roughly 8,000 people at once, described in Yunnan Daily Press Group's own tourism reporting as one of the largest natural ecological open-air hot-spring bathing sites in China. It sits by the Jinsha River, 32 kilometres from Yibin in Sichuan and 4 kilometres from Shuifu's urban centre.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism's national route materials place the spring within a county it also credits with Shuifu Port, given as the Yangtze river's first port, the Xiangjiaba hydropower station, given as China's third-largest, and the well-preserved Tongluoba National Forest Park.
