About Wuxie Waterfalls

The local word xie means a waterfall, and the five stages give the water a changing shape as it falls between the cliffs. The eastern valley holds the principal falls, while the western gorge and smaller woodland pools add quieter water settings. Narrow Wuxie Lake, a reservoir enclosed by green hills, forms another distinct part of the landscape.

What to look for

  • The five successive waterfall stages within the eastern valley.
  • The narrow, hill-framed Wuxie Lake reservoir.
  • Woodland pools and the western gorge.
