About China Great Bamboo Sea
Paths lead beneath tall culms and through gullies where overlapping leaves filter the light. Higher up, Guanzhu Tower opens the view across successive bamboo-covered ridges, making the contrast between the close canopy and the broader green landscape especially clear. Wunü Spring is another named feature near the entrance.
Bamboo is also a material livelihood here. A 2023 field account records workers cutting and moving culms on the slopes, a reminder that the scenery belongs to Anji’s bamboo-producing countryside. The bamboo sea can be appreciated both as a hill landscape and as the source of a material used in local craft and industry.
