About Shanghai Fish · Jinhai Lake Landscape
Shanghai Fish (上海之鱼) is a landscaped lake district in Fengxian New City, southern Shanghai. Its defining feature is the goldfish-shaped land-and-water composition around the artificial Jinhai Lake.
The Fengxian government describes it as an earth-sculpture landscape that brings water, planting, architecture and public art together. The wider area includes Fengxian Museum, planning displays and several parks, among them Nianfeng Park and Bubble Park. It is therefore an area with multiple destinations, rather than one building with a single front door.
Choose the kind of visit you want before choosing an arrival point: a lake walk, a park stop and a museum visit begin in different parts of the district. The goldfish outline is most evident in an aerial plan; from ground level, the experience is of lake edges, bridges, planting and adjoining cultural spaces.
