About Maokong Tea Hills
Maokong is a tea-growing and tea-drinking area in Taipei’s Wenshan district. The hills bring plantations, tea shops and views toward the Taipei Basin into one landscape, making the destination more than simply the final stop of the gondola.
Muzha Tieguanyin and Wenshan Baozhong are closely associated with the area’s tea culture. The tea promotion center provides interpretation of the local industry and environment, while individual tea houses offer their own settings and menus.
The gondola connects the Taipei Zoo area with intermediate stops including Zhinan Temple before reaching Maokong. It is a way to experience the changing terrain, but the hillside destination and the transport service should be planned separately, especially when weather or maintenance affects operations.
