About Anji Bamboo Expo Park
The Bamboo Museum opened in October 2000 and explores bamboo resources, cultivation, everyday uses, literature and craft. One distinctive work is a bamboo-woven interpretation of Along the River During the Qingming Festival, created under the craft artist Lu Guanghua. Outside, the planted collection lets visitors compare bamboo forms with the objects and techniques presented indoors.
The curved steel Yudai Bridge crosses Huxi and links the park’s eastern and western sections. The panda facilities are purpose-built animal enclosures, with temperature-controlled indoor rooms and outdoor climbing structures. Together, the garden, museum and animal-care setting give the park a different emphasis from Anji’s extensive mountain bamboo forests.
