About Keyan Scenic Area
Its most recognisable rock is Yungu, an upright formation whose distant outline has been likened to a column of rising incense smoke. The Tiangong Buddha provides another major focus, while the old quarry remains, Puzhao Temple and inscriptions cut into the cliffs add different layers of human use to the rocky landscape. Further stonework includes a lotus terrace and a wall carrying the Diamond Sutra.
Keyan is one of three distinct sections of the wider scenic attraction. Jianhu forms its lake section, while Luzhen recreates a town inspired by Lu Xun's writing; the quarry remains and named rock-and-sculpture features belong to Keyan itself.
