About us & editorial policy

China Revealed is an independent travel guide for international visitors planning trips to China. We explain destinations, food and practical travel tasks using identified sources.

Who is responsible

China Revealed publishes and maintains this guide under its own brand. Our role is to organise travel information and explain choices. Bookings, admission and transport services are provided by the linked operators.

How we use sources

Government agencies and operators are the preferred sources for entry rules, opening arrangements and transport services. Identified reference works support historical and geographical background. Traveller diaries are attributed as individual experiences. A source link is evidence for the associated information, not a promise that every service is available today.

Writing, AI and photography

AI assists with drafting, translation and some illustrations. Generated dish images are visibly marked as illustrations. They are not restaurant photographs or proof of ingredients. We retain source links, photographer credits, licences and adaptation notices. We do not claim to have personally visited or tested every place.

Updates and verification dates

Editorially updated records when text was edited. A policy verification date refers to the stated rule and linked source. Ratings are dated platform snapshots. A map edition describes the diagram, not a guarantee that every line is operating today. Check the relevant operator before a time-sensitive journey.

Rankings and recommendations

Top-sight lists distinguish a linked platform order from an editorial selection for international visitors. Platform users are not filtered by nationality. Suggested combinations help with route planning and do not guarantee walking distances, shared tickets or same-day feasibility.
