Hengfeng Gangbian Goose 横峰港边鹅
Hengfeng Gangbian Goose is featured among the local specialties of Jiangxi.

Hengfeng Gangbian Goose (横峰港边鹅) is a goose dish from Gangbian Township (港边乡) in Hengfeng County (横峰县), Shangrao, Jiangxi, and one of the ten signature dishes of Shangrao published by the city government in January 2025.
How it is made
According to the Shangrao municipal government, the dish uses farm-raised local geese from Gangbian Township, cooked with chilli, garlic and camellia oil (茶油). The city sums up the result as fragrant to the bone with tender meat, and says visitors from outside the area remember it long after eating it, prizing a flavour it calls one of a kind.
Where it comes from
Both parts of the name are places: Hengfeng is the county and Gangbian the township. The Hengfeng county government places Gangbian in the south-east of the county, bordering Hucun Township (湖村乡) of Guangxin District (广信区) to the east, and describes it as a major sweet-potato-growing township.
On the Shangrao list of ten signature dishes, Hengfeng Gangbian Goose sits beside other county dishes such as Yugan chilli stir-fried pork (余干辣椒炒肉), Guangfeng blanched mutton (广丰汆羊肉) and Guifeng Jingguo braised pork (龟峰经国扣肉).
