About Doupotang Waterfall
Its width and shallow stepped edge give it a different character from the taller main fall. A large pool lies above the lip, while the visitor viewpoints show the water breaking into a curtain across the rock. Water volume changes the appearance and sound considerably. Make Doupotang its own short scenic-area visit before using the managed connection to another part of Huangguoshu.
What to look for
- The wide waterfall runs across a long calcified barrier.
- The pool and broad curtain of falling water contrast with Huangguoshu’s taller main fall.
